I worked with Marissa.  She was such a dear spirit who always sought to encourage me.  She lit up a room.  She was so proud of her hard work & her great family.  She left an impact on me.

I met Marissa through outings, testing and in meetings at TOPS. She made an immediate impression as a vibrant, positive person, and who I continued to see approach every situation with enthusiasm and care. Marissa lifted people up without even realizing it, just by being her. Her spirit, kindness and spunk will be truly missed.

She had an infectious smile! She was my Sorority Sister of Alpha Lambda Omega Christian Sorority,Inc. We both are alumni of Prairie View A&M University. I will miss her! I send my condolences to my fraternity brother Micheal and his family. May the Lord comfort and keep you!

Marissa was one if my Drew Hall friends at Prairie View. We attended bible study together, shopped, hung out with friends and talked about the Lord. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers. She was truly one of God's angels!

Marissa was always a joy to be around. She will be missed by the Kirby family. God bless the family and we'll keep them in our prayers. 

Mrs. Moore, was my twin daughters advisor last year for TOPS.  This was our first year of doing home schooling, and she made it such a smooth transition.  Mrs. Moore was a truly wonderful and sincere person and you can tell she loved what she was doing.  She will be missed by us and by many.  My sincere condolences on the great loss that your family has suffered.  Go with GOD and and Rest In Peace!  You were truly one special lady.

Marissa Moore was a truly enlightened person who understood the impact that her positive, pleasant and reassuring demeanor had on others. 

Like others that have remarked here, we were a family new to TOPS at the outset of last school year, 2018-2019. Coming from a completely different program the previous year, we were unsure what to expect and therefore we carried a certain degree of uncertainty and anxiety into the year. Mrs. Moore received us with such grace and patience. Throughout the year, even during periods of her own struggles, she spent her energy on making sure that our dear Ava was taken care of. She never shirked any part of her responsibility and always acknowledged our needs as a family. She didn’t judge and she immediately had a solution to any number of problems or concerns that seemed to pop up. It is this strength and grace that Mrs. Moore displayed in what would turn out to be the most difficult period of her own life that filled our hearts with hope and inspiration. 

We knew Mrs. Moore only through her profession as a teacher and advocate for students with different abilities, as well as their stressed and often angst-riddled parents. Despite that, her spirit shined through all dimensions, brightening our lives and bringing peace to our family when needed.  So much so that we were filled with a sense of great loss upon learning the news of her passing.

Today, her spirit can be felt coursing through the thoughts and emotions of all those that cherished her.  Fortunately, she knew and loved the Lord, and He her. Therefore, when the remaining tears dry from the faces of those of us left behind, peace of mind and heart may be had knowing Marissa Moore has gone ahead, preparing to receive and shine grace onto those blessed enough to join her one day in the Glorious presence of the Lord our God! 

We thank the Lord for the opportunity to know Marissa Moore in any capacity.  We pray for Mr. Moore and their two children. Stay near to God!

When I first met her, she was extremely happy, interactive, caring, kind- hearted and patient with us.  But most of all She brought us out of our comfort zones. So sad for your loss. Marissa brightened the world! I am a co-worker at TOPS and we worked together at testing. What a positive  attitude and she continues to inspire me! She is survived by: her Fathers Nathaniel Hendricks and Leon Francisco (Genevia Francisco), in-laws Sandra Betts (Floyd Betts) and siblings Harold Hendricks (Lisa Hendricks), Harriet Turner (Devon Turner), Chelious White, Whitney Francisco, Vannah Frazier (Barry Frazier), Shayne Francisco, Sherronda Henderson (Thaddeus Henderson), Yvonne Morgan (Steven Morgan) and her loving husband, Michael Moore, Jr. and precious children Hannah Grace and Michael "Mikey" Moore III, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
