Marie Wiesner

Born September 2, 1929 in Bastrop County, Texas, Marie was the daughter of Jake G. and Angie (Miller) Lewis, Sr. Marie’s mother passed away when she was very young, resulting in her father later marrying Thelma Justice who lovingly raised Marie. Marie attended Bastrop Schools and was Drum Major for Bastrop High Bears until 12th grade, when she married Harold C. Williams, Sr. She later married Arthur J. Wiesner on September 19, 1952.

At different times throughout her life, Marie worked at Woolworths, then for a locksmith; but she cherished her time as a housewife, raising her three sons. She was very devoted to her family, as family was everything to her. If anyone needed family information, such as birth dates or death dates, they came to Marie, as she had a wonderful memory for family information.

Marie was preceded in death by her father and both her mothers; her brothers, Jake G. Lewis, Jr., Sonny Lewis, Pat Lewis; her sister, Katherine Thielepate; and also her oldest son, Harold Clifford Williams, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Arthur Wiesner; two sons, Mitchell A. Wiesner and Arthur Randolph (Randy) Wiesner; a brother, Mike Lewis; and sisters, Bobbie Hanna, Verna Wolf and Mildred Wiesner. She cherished her “grandkids”, Kristopher Wiesner, Jeremy Wiesner, John Gabriel Wiesner, Kory Wiesner, Arthur R. Wiesner, Jr., Brian Williams, and Heather Williams; along with her great-grandkids, Skylar Delaney-Wiesner and Nya Milia Wiesner. Marie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and many dear friends.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2013, at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Memorial Chapel of the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Committal services and burial will follow at 3:30 p.m., Saturday at Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop, Texas.

Honoring Marie as pallbearers will be Kristopher Wiesner, Jeremy Wiesner, Gabe Wiesner, Kory Wiesner, Matt Lewis, Larry Don Lewis, Mark Hanna and Jimmy Hanna. Honorary pallbearers will be Terri Adams, Lisa Seawald, Linda Smith, Diane Simpson, Charlene Hancock, Karla O'Daniel and Patty Thielepate.
