Marie Seaholm Pannell

She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John S. Pannell, her parents Carl Seaholm and Ida Berggren Seaholm, and her sister Alvina Sassman.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Pannell of Southlake, Karen and husband John Persyn of Castroville, and Nancy Pannell of San Antonio; sister Leona and husband Jack Abrahamson; grandchildren, Amanda and husband Greg Stephenson, Jake Pannell, John Wesley Persyn, Emily Persyn, and Stuart and wife Deborah Mercy Persyn; great grandchildren, Sarah Austin and Jack Stephenson and Freyja Persyn.

Marie was born July 6, 1924 on the family farm near Lund, Texas. She graduated from Elgin High School and attended Texas Lutheran College. She met John S. Pannell on a blind date and they were married in 1947. Marie was a terrific homemaker, was involved in church and many activities with her children. They lived in Austin until retirement and then moved to Marble Falls. They later moved back to Austin and Marie moved to Blue Skies Retirement community in San Antonio in 2011. She was an active member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Austin and St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Marble Falls.
