Margaret Kiernan

July 11, 1931 – December 11, 2024

Margaret (Marge) was one of 13 children born to Rocco and Pauline Morabito. She was married to her husband, Walter, for sixty-nine years until his passing in January, 2021.

Her family was her life, and her greatest joy was being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook for everyone too. When not being with the family, Marge loved to garden. She had the most wonderful garden with so many beautiful flowers, but her favorite was the Peony flowers that bloomed every Spring. Her green thumb extended to a large vegetable garden as well.

She and her husband moved to Largo, Florida after retiring and enjoyed many happy times over the 28 years they lived there.

Marge is survived by her three children Kathleen (Henry) von Thaden, Walter (Sara) Kiernan and John (Michelle) Kiernan. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Christine (Bryan), Jennifer (Anthony), Laurie (Andrew), Walter (Emily), Daniel (Lauren), Anthony (preceded in death), Brittany and Nicholas (Gianna). Marge was thrilled to have 12 great-grandchildren: Antonio, Frankie, Gabby, Jacob, Chloe, Gemma, Lily, Paige, Nicholas, AJ, Indiana and Charly.

She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

We will miss her smile, sense of humor and her compassion, but most of all the love that she gave so freely to her family.
