Lillie was born September 18, 1938 in Truman, Arkansas, to Joel “Jack” and Mary Lou Bryan. The family later moved to Austin when she was six years old. She is a graduate of Austin High School. She married Lyndon Johnson (divorced) and they had two daughters. She later married Hoyt Dunn, traveled the country, devoted her life to her family and loved working in her flower gardens. Her close family called her “Peachie” and she was lovingly referred to as “Mer” by her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Bonita Beckman and granddaughter, Brianne Luckie. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Johnson Kuempel & fiancé Kevin Powell of Hutto and Laura Johnson Luckie & husband Brad Luckie of Hutto; granddaughter, Kristin Luckie Miller and husband Garrett Miller; grandsons, Chad Kuempel, Shane Kuempel and Justin Luckie; brother, Alvia “Sonny” Bryan; and sister, Janice Morrison.
A memorial service celebrating Lillie’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2011, at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Other services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Lighthouse at Altenheim Hospice of Round Rock.
