Lester Durst Boyer, a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2023, at the age of 87, at his home. Born in Dallas, TX on October 19, 1935, Lester had a lifelong passion for building original designs that could withstand the test of time, and he loved to share his knowledge with anyone who would listen.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 62 years, Wilma Lois Boyer, his brother, Don Boyer, and his three children, Chris Boyer, Tracy Landrum, and Tricia Boyer, his grandchildren, Audrey Landrum, Emilee Boyer, Ryan Landrum, Scott Boyer, and Ella Boyer. We will miss him dearly.
Lester and Wilma first met at a college fellowship group in church and bonded over their mutual appreciation for Jesus and fun events. Their long and happy marriage was a testament to the strength of their love and the importance of shared values.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, donations can be made to one of Lester's favorite charities, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, Community First Program, at https://mlf.org/ways-to-give/.
Lester will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his passion, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. May he rest in peace.
