Leslie Gene Lewis

Gene graduated from Austin High School and went to work for Western Electric Co. He was a long time member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Billie Ruth Hunt Lewis; son Terry and wife Lyndal; daughter Debbie Starcher and husband Bill; daughter Leslie Stark and husband Greg; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Calvin and wife Doris, sister Ramona Lyda and husband Clyde, many nieces and nephews and beloved friends.

Visitation is Saturday, May 31, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Greg and Ryan Stark, Chris Lewis, Sean Starcher, Roy and Andy Lyda. Honorary Pallbearer is Victor Machalicek. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gene Lewis to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.

The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the staff at Sagebrook Nursing Home for years of care.
