Katherine Jane Parks, beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Tuesday morning, March 13, 2018 at the age of 65. Born in Austin, Texas she graduated from McCallum High School. She worked loyally at the Texas Department of Public Safety for 33 years until her retirement in August of 2014. Kathy had a passion for life, enjoyed joking, and loved to spend time with friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Jo Nell Bielss; brother-in-law, Gilbert Bielss; and her mother, Agnes Martin. She is survived by her son, Clayton Parks; nephew, Justin Bielss; niece, Tamra Marbibi; great nieces, Hailey and Lauren; her Guardian Angel and dear friend, Denise Langford; along with many other friends.
A Celebration of Kathy’s life will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Committal will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
