She worked as a custodian for the University of Texas. She loved to garden and spend time with her family. Her home was always where the family would gather for traditional holidays.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Trujillo; brothers, Antonio Reyes and Valentine Reyes; and sister, Desidera Chavez. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her brother, Jose Reyes; her niece, Rosita Chavez-Medina, whom she raised as her daughter; her great-niece, Patricia Briones, who was also her caretaker; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Serving Julia as pallbearers will be David Chavez, Joe Chavez, Michael Chavez, Steve Garcia, Tom Chavez, David "Junior" Chavez, Manuel Reyes and Rudy Reyes.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery
