John Henry was born June 30, 1970, in Austin to Henry and Esperanza Rodriguez. He graduated from Manor High School in 1990. He joined the US Army after high school and soon started his family after his discharge. He graduated Virginia College later in life and was proud to share his gained knowledge with the CTE program at Manor High School as the Medical Assistant Teacher.
He was an active member of Santa Barbara Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
His interests included fishing, camping, barbecuing, cooking, football, building, and classic Mustangs. He devoted his time to his parents, his family, and remodeling his house.
John Henry is survived by his parents, Henry and Esperanza Rodriguez of Austin Texas; sister; Amy Rodriguez-Meiche and spouse Yvette Meiche of Elgin, TX; sister, Raquel Reyes and spouse Alex Reyes of Manor TX; sister, Rita Gomez and spouse Robert Gomez of Manor, TX; sister, Esperanza Reyna of Austin, TX; son, Henry Rodriguez and spouse Laura Tonche of Kyle, TX; daughter, Samantha Rodriguez of Kyle, TX; son, John Henry Rodriguez of Round Rock, TX; daughter, Shelby Rodriguez of Austin, TX; daughter, Mano’Olana Rodriguez of Pflugerville, TX; daughter, LeoNora Rodriguez of Pflugerville, TX; six granddaughters, Nayomi, Sophia, Jaylen, Haley, Amy, and Reyna; 15 nieces and nephews; and 4 great nieces and nephews.
