He married the love of his life Elena Ramirez on May 22, 1957, and had a son Robert in October 1957. John worked for Texas A&M University for 8 ½ years holding multiple positions before pursuing his true passion of barbering. John worked at Hancock Barbershop for 55 ½ years before closing the doors in 2020 at the age of 80. When John wasn’t at the barbershop you could find him spending time with family and friends telling jokes and making people laugh.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Victor Cornejo, brother in law Alejandro Constancio and nephew Alexander Constancio Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Elena, son Robert Cornejo, his sister Gloria Constancio, brother Phillip Cornejo and his wife Frances. Grandchildren: John Cornejo, Heather Cathey and her husband Derek. Great Grandchildren: Jaxon, Landon, Emma and Lola. Nephews: Phillip Cornejo, Joe Constancio and George Constancio and his wife Gina. Nieces: Linda Constancio and Mary Ann Gonzales and her husband James. And many more nieces and nephews.

A visitation for John will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home.
