Jessie Dickens Blackshear, 74, of Round Rock, TX transitioned into heaven Thursday March 24, 2016 at her home. Jessie is survived by her children; Sharon Staples and her husband Edwin B. Staples of Round Rock, TX; grandchildren; Qushanta Hunt and her husband Stokes Hunt Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL; Edwin B. Staples Jr. and wife Ashley Staples of Durham, NC; Tyesha Ohuoba and her husband Osadebamwen Ohuoba of Round Rock, TX; sisters; Mary Ming of Dothan, AL; Clara Baxter of Ashford, AL and brother; MC Dickens of Dothan, AL; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives. Jessie lived in Alabama, Massachusetts, Florida, and North Carolina before moving to Texas. She was an ordained minister, missionary and evangelist and did missionary work in over 32 countries. Jessie worked very close with the military chaplain service in several overseas locations, ministering to the local population and military community. Her sharing of the gospel in word and deed has impacted thousands of lives worldwide.
A memorial service was held at Shoreline Church in Austin, TX on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 1pm.
