Jerry Gene Agan, 70, of Round Rock, Texas passed away February 12, 2021. He was born in Mercedes, Texas on July 21, 1950. He grew up and graduated from Donna High School in Donna, Texas.
Jerry had a career in Law Enforcement working for the City of Southside, City of West University, both in Houston Texas, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Dept., and Oyster Creek Marshal’s Office. He left the force and relocated to Florida where he worked in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration for Modern Air and Spectrum Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
Jerry had a passion for and loved his dogs dearly. They ate as well as he did with steak and baked potatoes every Friday night. He enjoyed family nights, sitting poolside watching his grandchildren play, and being around family.
He was survived by his daughters, Barbara Riviera (Larry Couch) of Weslaco, Texas and Saundra Farley of Pflugerville, Texas; six grandchildren, Amanda Brereton (Daniel) of Pflugerville, Texas, Chase Riviera of San Diego, California, Justin Mize of Pflugerville, Texas, Rebecca Lee (Ky Rodgers) of Pflugerville, Texas, Cameron Riviera of Weslaco, Texas, Brittany Agan of Hammond, Louisiana; three great grandchildren, Joslin Seagren, Landon Dodson and Bryson Downing; and sister, Jackie Agan of Seguin, Texas.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Hugh Morris Agan; mother, Jerry Jean Agan; brother, Hugh Morris Agan, Jr.; daughter, Amanda Lee Whidden; and sons, Richard Ward Whidden, Jr. and Jared Wallace Edwards, Jr.
At Jerry’s wish, no funeral services will be held but he would have loved for us all to save him a seat at the table and have a totty, as he would call it, and celebrate his life with a drink.
