Jerome “Jerry” Kay Lusk, 72, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2013 surrounded by his loving wife and devoted children. Born in Elkhart, Kansas to Dr. and Mrs. Jerome Kenneth Lusk he spent 14 years in Beeville, Texas and spent the remainder of his life in Round Rock, Texas.
Jerry was a passionate man who enjoyed woodworking and construction. He worked as the Owner of Lusk Remodeling in Beeville, Texas and Self-employed in Austin, Texas. In his spare time he enjoyed dancing, fishing, hunting, golfing, and woodcarving.
He was preceded in death by his father Dr. Lusk, his brother Capt. Walter Thomas Lusk and his companion of 14 years, his golden retriever KC.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lupe Lusk, two sons, Michael Lusk of Beeville, Texas, Samuel Lusk of Round Rock, Texas, and four daughters, Jerri Lynn Mick of Wichita Falls, Texas, Michelle Williams of Malibu, California, Denise Lawrence of Hutto, Texas and Deyla Lusk of Round Rock, Texas; his mother, Alpha Lusk of Lawrence, Kansas; his sister, Linda Norman; his brother, John Lusk; as well as 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2013, at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North IH 35, Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Memorial Chapel of the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home.
Honoring Jerry as pallbearers will be his loving grandchildren, Jennifer Renee Guajardo, Nicholes James Guajardo, Joshua Jerome Ramirez, Joe Anthony Ramirez, Stephanie Kristen Ramirez, Kelsey Nicole Lawrence and great-grandson Adrian Alexander Guajardo.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions in Jerry’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association-Capital of Texas Chapter, the Susan G. Komen – Austin Chapter, or Austin Pets Alive!.
