Janet Helen Anderson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on July 3, 2023, in Pflugerville, Texas, after a brief illness of COVID pneumonia. She was born on January 26, 1936, in Lidgerwood, North Dakota.
Janet began her career as a teacher in South Dakota after graduating from high school. Following her marriage in 1955, she dedicated herself to being a homemaker, finding immense joy in caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Janet had an extraordinary passion for cooking and baking, and every year, her family eagerly awaited her abundant spread of Christmas cookies and treats. Her culinary creations were cherished and savored by all.
Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Anderson; her sons, Robert Anderson and Scott Anderson; her daughters-in-law, Karen Anderson and Cassandra Anderson; her grandson, Jesse Anderson; and her granddaughters-in-law, Jennifer Anderson and Laura Anderson. She was also predeceased by her parents, Jesse and Doris Garlow; her sister, Bonnie Huber; her brother, Joel Garlow; her brother-in-law, Iver Lentz; her brother-in-law, Robert Anderson, her brother-in-law, Leo Huber; her sister-in-law, Sylvia Anderson; and her niece, Sharon Anderson.
She is survived by her sister, Liz Lentz; and her children: Wayne Anderson (wife Patti), Jeff Anderson, Bruce Anderson (wife Lori), Michelle Danielson (husband Brad), David Anderson, Darin Anderson, and Kirk Anderson (wife Becky). Janet leaves behind a loving legacy of 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Janet Helen Anderson will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit. May her memory live on in our hearts forever. May she find eternal peace.
