Jaime Denise Black lost her courageous battle with cancer on April 26, 2010 at the age of 39. She led a valiant fight and never lost her faith along the way. Her family and many friends have been her support throughout her journey, all unwilling to relinquish our hold on her and surrender the fight. Rather than give in to the cancer, she gave in to her Lord, where He was waiting with open arms to welcome her into Heaven. Waiting for her there are her grandparents, Grace and Raymond J. Barry, Pete Hamm, brother Alex Andrew and her nephew, Corey.
She left behind her soul mate and love, Pat “Bubba” Black and her daughter, the love of her life, her “Baby Girl” Brianna. She will be mourned by her parents Barbara and Duke Barry; sisters Kim, Dana and Katie; brothers Eric and TJ and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
To all that truly knew her, Jaime was thoughtful, giving and full of laughter. She had a smile that could light up a room, and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Jaime’s family will receive friends on Thursday April 29th 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, April 30th 2010 in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with burial following at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
