Isabel Lopez Galvan, age 87, of Austin, Texas was called home by our Heavenly Father peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 18, 1927 in Austin, Texas to Tomas and Maria Gil Lopez.
She is survived by four siblings; daughters: Irene (Chuca) & husband David H Reyes; Virginia & husband Julian Delgado; sons: Gilbert (Gabo) & wife Linda Galvan; Thomas Henry Galvan and David (Gordy) Galvan. Isabel is the grandmother of 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Honoring her as pallbearers will be; Angel James Moreno, Adam Blake Mitchell, Adam Cruz, Roy Matthew Billela, Martin Solis, Gabriel Galvan, Paul Galvan and James Galvan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe M Galvan and two sons, Joe Van Mitchell and Robert (Bobby) Galvan. Also, preceding her in death a brother Henry Lopez and sister Mercedes Lopez. Surviving Brother Pete Lopez and sisters: Mary Calderon, Carrie Hernandez, Becky Bustillo.
She was the matriarch of the family; a strong confident, vibrant, Loving and independent Beautiful women loved all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. When she got the choice to sit it out or dance, she danced.
The Galvan family would like to extend their gratitude to all the family and friends that were with her to the very end. Tierney, Dr. Carlos Rubin de Celis, Nicole Graham and Roxanna Sparks, Dr. Steven Pickett and the Healthsense Nurses, Terry, Brenda Cynthia, Diane and Trish-Therapist.

Public viewing and celebration of Isabel’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Cook-Walden Capital Parks Memorial Chapel, Pastor Manuel Ramos Sr. officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday April 17, 2014 beginning at 8:30am until 10:45am. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery located in San Antonio, Texas at 1:45pm.
