Imogene Davis

She was born July 24, 1924, the daughter of Sim and Lillian (Steward) Nelson in Idabel, Oklahoma.

Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Davis in April 1979, son, Gary K. Davis and brothers, Howard Nelson and Bill Nelson. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (El) Pullen of Rochester, New York; sons, Bobby (Sharon) Davis of Battle Creek, Glen (Ann) Davis of Austin; grandchildren, Gary (Kirsten) Pullen, Chris (Michelle) Pullen, Jeff Davis, Heather Holcomb and Elizabeth (Scott) Kempkens; great grandchildren, Brett Pullen, Kara Pullen, Madison Pullen, Chase and Chad Pullen; sister, Margaret Doan of New Boston and sister-in-law, Eddie Nelson of Livingston.

Imogene volunteered with the American Red Cross and at several hospitals. She enjoyed sewing and Bible studies.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, Austin. Graveside services will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Hill Park Cemetery, Austin. Memorial donations may go to Save The Children or USO.
