

Herbie Prewitt passed away peacefully at his home in Hutto, TX on July 18, 2010. Born March 22, 1953 in Beaumont, TX, he was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Pearl Prewitt, as well as his brother Kenneth and sister Becky.
He is survived by his brother Alvin and sisters Betty Sue and Mary Jane. He is also survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Connie; his children Josh & Dana Prewitt (Pflugerville), Billy & Regan Prewitt (Dallas), and Victoria & Kevin Watson (Seguin); as well as three granddaughters, Katie, Norah and Allison.
He was a master mechanic and served the Austin area for over 28 years as the owner/operator of Round Rock Muffler & Automotive. Herbie had a passion for raising animals and was very active in the Hutto 4-H and FFA programs, where he touched the lives of people young and old. He was an avid fisherman and holds multiple Texas Parks and Wildlife records at Lake Granger. He will be remembered for barbeque, fried fish, hard work, generosity, and so much more.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at First United Methodist Church of Round Rock.
