Hattie Jean Lewis

Hattie was born on December 8, 1944, in Creedmoor, Texas, to Bertha Mae Morris and Lee Edward Hill.

Hattie had a very fulfilling life, full of love and laughter, and was always surrounded by family. She had many happy memories filled years with the love of her life, her husband, Eddie Lewis, with whom she had two children.

Hattie loved music and could often be found listening to old Negro spirituals- Mahalia Jackson and Whitney Houston. Other hobbies of hers included cooking, gardening, and hosting family gatherings. However, her greatest pastime was watching her children's, grandchildren's, nieces', and nephews' sporting events. She was their biggest cheerleader and supporter.

Hattie was loved by all who knew her, and her memories will live on with her loving family and friends.

A visitation for Hattie will be held Sunday, May 12, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral service will occur Monday, May 13, 2024, at1:00 PM at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Austin, Texas. Committal service and Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Memorial Hill Cemetery.
