Harry Easter, 88, of Leander, Texas and formerly of Franklin Furnace, Ohio died May 1, 2011. He graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1941 and then served in the US Army for three years during WWII. He attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He retired from Allied Chemical, Ironton, Ohio in 1982 after 35 years as a cost accounting supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Ruby Easter of Buena Vista, Ohio; two brothers, Harold Easter and Paul Easter, and one sister, Margaret Singer. Harry was a life-long Methodist and a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Georgetown, Texas.
He is survived by Elizabeth Stout Easter whom he married in June 1950. He is also survived by one son Geoffrey Easter and wife Cynthia of Minford, Ohio; daughter Candace Kucera and husband Anton of Georgetown, Texas; brother David Eugene Easter of Buena Vista, Ohio; seven beloved grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held May 5, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home. Burial followed at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
