Froilan Rodriguez Jr., affectionately known to many as “Lonny” passed away on December 3, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on March 27, 1947, in Long Beach, California, to Froilan Rodriguez Sr. and Beatrice DeAguilar-Rodriguez, Lonny lived a life filled with love, adventure, and dedication.
Lonny embraced the outdoors, finding joy in hiking, kayaking, swimming, and capturing the beauty of nature through photography. Professionally, he was a Certified Public Accountant who began his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers. He later dedicated nearly 20 years to Earl M. Jorgensen Steel, where he built enduring friendships. His career continued with notable contributions at Fisker Automotive and Onnit.
Lonny’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. As a devout Catholic, he was a devoted member of St. Albert the Confessor Catholic Church. He served his community as a member of the Knights of Columbus and as a mentor to many. Lonny also served his country with honor in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970.
Lonny is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Jeannette Skinner Rodriguez; his children, Matthew Rodriguez and wife Allison, and Aleta Brochue and husband Matthew; as well as his treasured grandchildren, Delaney Brochue, Mia Pierce-Rodriguez, Christopher Brochue, Liam Rodriguez, and Madison Brochue. He also leaves behind his sister, Debbie DiCorrado, and numerous extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Christopher Rodriguez, and his brother Michael Rodriguez.
Lonny will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, faith, and friends. His warmth, wisdom, and adventurous spirit will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
