Ezequiel Jay Henriquez was born in Austin, Texas August 15th, 2003, to Jazmin Henriquez and Denise Centena. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Ezequiel Jay Henriquez on Wednesday July 5, 2023, at the age of 19.
Ezequiel’s friends and family called him by words of endearment such as “Esi”, “Zeke”,”Chele”,”Cheque”, most importantly his mother Jazmin Henriquez called him “Mi Rey.” Ezequiel attended Texas State Technical College in Hutto, Texas, studying for his Associates Degree in Welding Technology. Ezequiel had a beautiful vision for his future, it included his passion for lifted trucks, big wheels, and suspension parts. His dream truck was a 1997 Chevy Stepside OBS, metallic blue, with chrome wheels, and dropped. Ezequiel was an aspiring entrepreneur, he desired to be an extension of the family business, build his own company, proud of his family’s name. Esi was preparing for a small welding shop, where he could build performance parts for custom trucks. He envisioned studying Electrical Power & Controls in Houston, Texas. Dreamt of having a ranch in the country, surrounded by cattle, horses, friends and family.
“Esi”, “Zeke”, “Chele”, “Cheque”, “Mi Rey” was one of the most beautiful souls on this earth. He was respectful, had excellent mannerisms, and his energy lit up every room he stepped into. Esi was generous with his time, always lent a helping hand without hesitation. His heart was golden, humble, full of compassion for others, and he made sure you were included and never left out. He was a young man of integrity and trustworthiness; you could always count on him. His smile was one of the most kind and contagious. As soon as you saw him, you could not help but to smile. His hugs were so tight, comforting, so much you could feel the love beaming off him. His beautiful eyes shined bright like the sun, matching his warm, funny laugh. He was not afraid to work, and never afraid to try new adventures, he was fearless. “Mi Rey” from the moment we knew you were coming onto this earth to bless us we fell in love with you. When we saw you, we knew you were heaven sent, perfectly made in the image of God for us. Thank you for loving us and blessing us with your presence, we will always love you and keep you close to our hearts.
