He was born on March 26, 1929 to Erwin and Elsie (Tiedt) Fiebig. He graduated from Smithville High School. He was married to Alice Michalik Fiebig. Erskine had a career in the lumber business. He co-owned Crestview Builders Supply and later owned Fiebig Lumber Company, and was co-owner of MSM Pack-N-Ship. He had a passion for hunting, joking, softball and being with family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Elsie Fiebig; siblings, Harding and Wallace Fiebig and Genelle Rosanky; wife, Alice Fiebig; and son, Steve Fiebig. He is survived by his three sons, Robert and wife Jan of Gonzales, David and wife Melinda of Manor, and Mark and wife Tina of Artesia, New Mexico; and brother, Nelson Fiebig and wife Diann. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Scott, Jill, Chad, Amy, Clay, Alyson, Adam, and Andrew and ten great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation to be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. The Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Manor. Interment will follow at the Manor Cemetery.
