Elias Guerrero,85, beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away May 7, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born March 18, 1938, in Del Valle Texas to Benito and Basilia (Munoz) Guerrero. At 20 years old, Elias married the love of his life and best friend, Alice Leos, on August 9, 1958.
Served in the Army Reserve for two years and was a cook at DPS. Elias had a love for classic cars and hot rods. He also played guitar and sang with the church. A hobby of his was to make canes for people out of PVC. He loved his television shows which were cowboy movies and cooking shows. His greatest love was spending time with family and friends, and he was always laughing and making jokes.
Elias is preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Basilia Guerrero; brothers, Joe and Benito Guerrero; sister Elena (Helen) G. McBride. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Alice Guerrero of Dale, Texas; sisters, Dolores Rositas of Dale, Texas, Noemi Resler of Bosque Farms, NM; Christina Soares of Cedar Park, TX; and numerous relatives and friends.
A visitation for Elias will be held Sunday, May 14, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A prayer service will occur Sunday, May 14, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A funeral service will occur Monday, May 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A committal service will occur Monday, May 15, 2023, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
