Edna Earle Martin

Edna Earle Martin passed away in Round Rock, TX, on Friday, October 28, 2022. Edna was born in Thornton, TX, on July 24 ,1921 to Roy and Willie Baker. She married Robert C. Martin in October of 1941. He died in December of 1986. They had resided many years in San Angelo, TX where she continued to live several years after becoming a widow. She later moved to Pflugerville, TX and then Round Rock, TX to be nearer her son and daughter-in-law.

Edna led a very full and active life. She had been a Christian and a member of the Church of Christ for most of her life. At different stages of her life, she worked as a cafe waitress, an office worker for an oil company, and a hospital volunteer, all of which she was very good at and which she truly enjoyed. She loved traveling, spending time with her family and friends and playing all kinds of card games.

She is survived by her son, Robert B. Martin and daughter-in-law, Sandra of Round Rock, two grandsons, Cid Martin and wife, Ellen of Tulsa, OK, Jeff Martin and wife, Laura, of Oklahoma City, OK, and granddaughter, Stephanie Martin of Gatesville, TX, three great-grandchildren, Allen, Devin, and Hannah Martin, one niece Debbie Mills of Greenville, N.C., one great niece and several great nephews.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and one nephew. She will be buried in San Angelo, TX beside her husband. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

A funeral service for Edna will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas.
