Ruth was the first person I met when I walked into the Sanctuary. Her warm and caring nature contributed to my decision to take a closer look at the church. This led to my joining a year later. Her ministry seemed to be one of quietly going about 'loving on' folks. She wasn't one to call attention to herself. We could all learn from her example. May light perpetual shine upon her.

My wife, Cynthia, and I had the good fortune for a while to be Miss Ruth's pastors. She was a joy to be with and our time with her transformed us into friends. Every Christmas she made a special fruit cake for Cynthia's father which he refused to share and enjoyed every bite. Her willingness to serve and help others were vivid evidences of her faith in God. Her ready laughter and her faithfulness to her church gave happy witness to her relationship with her Savior.

We were so saddened to hear of Ruth's passing.  Our mom, Mary Scott, and Ruth were friends for years...spending lots of time working puzzles and serving their church together.  We had the pleasure of celebrating several holidays with Ruth and considered her one of our family.  She was such a treasure and now is finding her treasure in heaven!
