Eddie Louis Fowler was born on September 16, 1949 to Arizona Pleasant and Eddie Fowler in Bastrop County. He grew up in Elgin, Texas and, at an early age, was baptized at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He later was graduated from Elgin High School.
Eddie married Lovie Jewel Verse on February 24, 1968 and moved to Austin, Texas where they raised four children together. He trained as an electrician and was employed at Vernon-Fowler Electrics, Hoskins Electric, and Ametec.
On July 10, 2018, Eddie departed this life and reunited with his father, mother, sister, Fannie Hart, and nephew, Wayne Fowler.
He will be remembered for his generosity and humor. He enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing, and cooking.
He leaves to cherish his memory a host of relatives and friends, including his children, Tracy Fowler, Lisa Alexander and husband John, Christopher Fowler and wife Elma, Bernadette Campbell and husband Ronald, Dell Carr and husband Cloves, and Steven Hunt. He also leaves 17 grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. in The Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery
