Debbie touched numerous lives while working at the Elgin Veterinary Hospital Equine Division for over 20 years as well as many medical professionals for over the last 15 years. Children of all ages were naturally drawn to her beautiful and outgoing personality and she had a passion for making people smile.
Debbie is preceded in death by her father, James Jarvel Hawk; mother, Donna Marie Hawk; brother, Jim Hawk; and sister, Diana Jackson. Debbie leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, John H. Hempel; daughter, Jeanne Stuckly and husband Kevin Stuckly; daughter, Julie Beasley and husband Todd Beasley; daughter, Jennifer Hughes and husband Billy Hughes; grandchildren, Darian Stuckly, Haley Beasley, Dalton Beasley, Emily Stuckly and Ty Hughes; as well as many nieces, nephews and additional family members.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home. The celebration will continue with a reception at the home of Mr. John Hempel from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions in Debbie’s name to Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas at www.bcrc.org.
