Daniel, my father in law in my eyes and in my soul forever. I want to let you and the family know that life wont ever be the same without you, I personally will miss you forever but I know that even though life wont be the same, it will eventually get better as time goes on. I can't believe in the couple of years we've known each other, you taught me so much about life. You would always tell me, there is room to progress in life, never settle. You would always teach me about faith and every word that came out of your mouth was honest and truthful. You got me a job and convinced me to accept it even though it would take me a 2 hour-2 bus trip to get there after the story you shared with me about you doing the same when you were younger and having to ride a bike in the rain and wait for your bus route, and guess what? I'm actually off of work right now after 10PM waiting on my 2nd bus in the rain. Til this day it hurts me not to see you at work everyday but you are one of the reasons that makes me push myself not to quit when I'm at the edge, because I know how upset you would be if I did and how I would only let myself down along with your daughter Catherine and your grandaughter Crisyana. It saddens me that you wont be there to walk Catherine down the aisle in the future when we get married, but what makes me happy is that you gave me your blessing one night at your sister Michelle's back yard to marry your daughter after I told you what my intentions were as a man with Catherine, you even called your son Daniel II on speaker and he liked the idea of it too. I love your daughter and granddaughter and I'm gonna make sure I always protect them and take care of them. Last, I want to say that I love you and I'm not gonna let you down. Your friend, your son, your brother forever!

I want to start by saying, Thank you Lord for allowing me to spend the past five and a half years with Danny.  Thank you bringing him back into my life after many years of not seeing him.  We used to date back in high school and we lost contact for so many years.  He would always tell me that if we had stayed together back then, we would never have been getting married in a few months.  He was right.  Back then he had different priorities in life.  I am glad that through God's grace Danny was saved.  WE both believed that it was all God's doing in us being reunited.  We had no doubt in that.   I'm happy that I was able to spend the best times of your life with you my Love.  I think of you every day and miss you tremendously.  You were my rock, my one person that I could always lean on and depend on. I will cherish all our great memories for the rest of my life.  You have forever changed my life and even brought me closer to God.  I will forever be grateful for that.  I never envisioned living the rest of my life without you, but I know that it's all predestined by God.  Although we all miss you so very much, we are all exactly where God wants us all to be even if it's without you.  In God's timing we will all be reunited again.  Until then my Love!  Te amo a ti!

My heart is filled with so much sadness knowing you are no longer here with us every day. I still can't accept you being gone from our lives. You have come such a long way turning your life around. I just want you to know that I was so proud of the person you had become and wished we had more time. I really wish Zach and Adam could have grown up with you in their lives. As a child growing up, there's not much I remember about the man I called uncle Danny. But from this day on, the man I'll remember as uncle Danny was a kindhearted, loving, spiritual, and devoted person, as well as an inspiration to myself and so many others. I wish we had spent more time together as I grew older, but in such a short amount of time he made such a tremendous impact in my life. I can't begin to express how proud I am of the man my uncle Danny became. But I find solace in knowing that God wanted Danny along side him in his kingdom. Living peacefully and watching over all of us. I know if he were still with us he'd want me to keep working toward my dream but never neglect what God's dream is for me. So I'll continue to work hard every day and keep seeking the Lord just as he did. I feel as if a piece of him rubbed off onto me. I miss him every day, and I can't wait till we're reunited again. I love you, Uncle Danny.

I loved that day when you made me breakfast and we talked about the bible for 3 hours, I love you uncle Danny and I'll never forget you.

My brother..we are all missing you terribly.  That fateful day will never, ever be forgotten.  It's burned into our memories forever.  Now, what I try to do every day is recall other memories to try and weaken the wounds in my heart, and on my mind from that July 1st afternoon and since.  It's so hard.  I know there is no time limit on grief, and each day that passes will lessen this indescribable pain; that's what everyone says, but most days that doesn't seem possible.  We are 19 months apart, and to look back now on our up-bringing and childhood years, we didn't have it easy; we didn't know that then though.  We played and fought and protected each other as siblings do, especially as close in age as we were.  The older we became, the further apart we grew; rather the further apart our ideas of what our lives would become grew.  Your trials began early in your life, and no one could truly help you but God.  It took two decades of struggle and heart-ache for you to let God take over, and "take the wheel" of your life.  You did it though, finally, you did it!  You did it with your whole heart, your whole being.  The stubbornness and the rebellion you harbored a lot of your young life, you channeled it to your convictions in your faith and love for your family, your church and above all else, your love for God.  You were always smart; smarter than me for sure as kids; and when you made that decision during your last incarceration, the decision that that life was behind you this time for good, you learned about all faiths and you asked what you didn't understand and you pushed and pushed until anything that didn't make sense did and you decided.  Decided to believe how you believed and praise how you praised and teach how you taught.  I will forever admire you for your strength in your faith.  I know that God led you back to us; back to your family, and to people who you've left inspired by your path in life, your faith and redemption.  I'm saddest the most and sometimes I'll admit angry, but mostly sad that you left too soon to fulfill the plans you so often spoke to me about.  Your plans and visions for Catherine and Daniel, for Crisy; your life with Veronica, the futures you envisioned for Zach and Adam and your pride in them, and your steadfast wish to take care of ALL of us someday, especially mom.  You still felt you had so much to make up for.  I tell you every night that you did, I tell you every night how proud I am of you, and I will do so for the rest of my days on earth.  I am forever proud of how you turned your life around, and your fight to truly come back to us.  You rest now, and until I see you again, be our guardian angel in Heaven.

Hey bro, I'm so sorry I never came to visit these past few years. Now you're gone from this world, but very far from forgotten. I will remember the stories, the great laughs that we shared working together at Flare Industries, the struggles we shared and the times you saved my butt at that job. I won't just remember the deeds, but also the man behind them - someone who held himself to the highest standards of integrity. Someone who had many different chapters in his life, and in those final chapters had made the choice (was it a choice, or destiny? I can't say) to side with the angels. I admired your bravery, your good nature, and your incredible (!) storytelling ability. I'm sure that anyone who was lucky enough to have known Daniel Linan will agree: he was one of a kind. God bless you, sir. And may we meet again some day.

Veronica and family, Edward and I wanted to send our condolences for your loss.  Edward remembers Danny at a young age when they played baseball in Montopolis  together.  He recalls  Danny at Johnston High always  having a good sense of humor and very kind hearted.  He will surely be missed by family and friends.  You all will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry I did not get a chance to really get to know you. However, I do know that you made my friend happy, and that is good in my book.

To Veronica and the Linan Family, even though I did not know Daniel personally, I feel as if I did from Veronica's Facebook.  She shared all her happy moments and Daniel was there, she shared pictures of her grandchildren and Daniel was there.  I am sadden for you, but I will continue to pray to give you strength. When my friend Veronica introduce me to Daniel. I felt a positive vibe from him. He has a great personality and I knew that he loved my friend very much. I was so excited for them when they got engaged. I knew that they have found their soulmates. My prayers to my friend Veronica and his family. You have an angel who is  watching over you. He is with you always in your hearts.

I had the privilege of hearing Daniel give his testimony one Sunday afternoon at the Hughes'. Needless to say, I was extremely encouraged to learn how the Lord had transformed him in such a powerful way! I also had the pleasure of hearing Daniel and Veronica's love story one night over a campfire at Chris Morgan's. It was so sweet to hear how God reunited them! I didn't know Daniel for very long, but I always loved receiving his warm smile and handshake every time I saw him at church. My husband respected him greatly, which told me a lot. I can't imagine the loss that Veronica and his family are feeling right now.  I continue to pray for the healing of hearts of those he left behind through the grace and peace of Jesus Christ.

I really got to meet Veronica at my brothers, Benjamin Torres funeral. Since then she has be came part of our family. I got honor to meet Daniel one time at my cousin's house. And I could see the love that Veronica had for you, her happiness showed. His smile brighten the room. His death being so sudden shocked us all. I felt her pain and yet she keeps smiling as he would want her to. Only God know why our brothers and sisters are taking so suddenly. But this I know is those 2 guys are missed, loved and very much respected. We are all on earth for short time, some shorter than others. But we will all be together again in the afterlife. I only knew Danny thru my best friend Veronica Orozco, when I was in town one weekend in austin they invited me to lunch after they got out of church, omg the look in her eyes when she introduce us was pure joy and happiness,  he was gentle, kind loving, respectful, and a jokester of course, and all that mattered was that she was happy with the man the Lord blessed her with. A great memory of Danny is the night we had the pleasure of meeting him. Veronica had invited him to our house and me, Veronica and Danny ended up talking all night (until 5am!) He talked about their amazing love story, about the scripture and how much he loved Veronica and the Lord. He GUSHED over her and how beautiful she is and how he was so lucky to be able to spend the rest of his life with her. We went to Kerbey Lane at 4am and ate and laughed and had the best time! He is going to be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers with Veronica, her family and the Linan family.

Dear Linan family and Veronica,
I am so sad that Daniel is gone, but while he lived - what a guy!  He was one of the most genuine people I've ever known.  He knew what it was to live at odds with God, and what it was to walk humbly alongside Him.  He is an example for the rest of us of what God can do with anyone who is willing to be completely honest before Him, and to obey Him no matter the cost.
I will truly miss Daniel, that twinkle in his eyes when he smiled, his consistent encouragement, his transparent honesty, and his amazing bear-hugs.  But he is praising God right now with all of heaven's angels.
Remember who Daniel became because of our good God.  Remember what Daniel would want for us to do and to be in this life.  That is how we can best honor his memory, by honoring his God.

Just when I thought that I could add another branch to my family tree now it seems that another branch has been broken. When Kevin and I got engaged you and Veronica came over and spent hours again making our Wedding Invitations for us. The last time I talked to you I was on Facebook selling a Longhorn Jacket it was 4 days b4 you left us all and you said you know Miss Jolene I want that Jacket so I'm still holding that jacket Daniel and I will give it to Veronica. You are truly missed and left a mark on many lives here on Earth. I will say you truly turned your life around and God is proud of you Brother Daniel! I can see you smiling down on us from Heaven. We love you and will all truly miss you Brother Daniel but I want say bye bc we will all see that beautiful smile again when we meet at those Pearly Gates!

My heart is broken for all of Daniels family, but especially for my sister Veronica. I had never seen her so in love and I had never seen any man love my sister the way Daniel did. But I find peace in knowing that Daniel was a man of great faith and is in heaven. So y'all will be reunited again one day. Glory to God! RIP my brother

I will miss a good friend. Although we didn't always agree, the one thing we always agreed on was that Jesus was our Lord and I will miss my brother in Christ. My brother, although we miss you here, you are where we all long to be. May the peace of God surround those left behind.

I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel at one of Veronica's birthday dinners, he was a true gentleman, was full of life, and I could tell how much he loved her!!! May you rest in peace Daniel! Daniel is my girlfriend's (Catherine) dad, I met him when I moved to Austin a couple of years ago. We instantly connected, talked about anything and everything, from sports to god. Daniel was always making sure I was ok, called me "son" and he for sure loved me like one. It's because of him I today have a job, it's because of him I learned everything I know at work. A lot of my co-workers adopted the name "papá" for me because we were always together like father and son. But as much as it was a pleasure working with him, the relationship out of work was greater. I truly love him like he was my dad. Daniel you always confided so much in me and also always asked me to take care of your daughter and grand daughter. I can tell you now, that I will always be there for them, they are in good hands, I love them with all my heart. I love you Papá! Godspeed! And until next time.... Oooooohweeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

I had the pleasure of working with Daniel at Flare Industries / Aereon. We immediately hit it off as we discovered our shared faith in Jesus Christ. Daniel was a bold witness for Christ and worked equally hard at his job. I considered Daniel a dear friend and had the utmost respect for him as he boldly admitted the mistakes he made in his life and how Christ had forgiven him. Daniel worked hard physically and spiritually to rebuild what had been torn down in his life. He was as genuine a Christian as I personally knew. Daniel Linan was a blessing to me! I look forward to seeing him again in the resurrected life.

To Veronica and Daniel's family, you have my deepest and sincerest sympathies. I'm praying for you all as you deal with Daniel's passing. May God's grace and peace dwell with you always.

Go and have fun in paradise. You will be greatly missed by so many, especially my dear friend Veronica but i know you will one day reunite. ❤

I did not know Daniel out side of work,  but I did spend alot of time with him at work over the last year and a half. He was always happy and cheerful, and talked to everyone. It was a pleasure knowing him, He  always feeding us Gatti pizza and P Terry's.
My condolences goes out to all his family. Life is precious and makes you realize not to take anyone for granted,  make sure that you love the people around you.

Although our meetings weren't many and our conversations weren't long, the role your played in my cousins life and heart will always be looked upon with great appreciation.  My condolences to vero, her kids and grandkids but most importantly to his children and family. May God bless, protect and comfort each one of you through this troubled time. So much going on at this early stage in life! What a powerful example & impact he left for us all. I know I'm not alone in wishing we could have spent more time together. Our hearts & prayers go out to Veronica, the kids and all Mr. Linan's loved ones.

I am praying for all of you as you trust God through this, and feel great sadness with you that we won't be seeing Daniel again this side of glory. I will miss his amazing face and eyes, his bear hugs, his cheery disposition, his intelligence. I cherish some great memories of sitting around the fire pit at my house listening to his story... What a blessing to have met and known him! "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints" - Psalm 116:15. Thank you, Lord, for Daniel's life!

I feel like it was just yesterday we were at Logan's sharing some Dos xx & some laughs. 
  I Regret never letting you know how much I cared for you Danny. 
  I'm so glad we got to celebrate our Birthday together & you looked so happy even though they made us do a chicken dance at Plucker's in front of everyone! You looked like you were having so much fun though! lol
 I also remember when you got my mom her ring, you came & knocked on my door to show me it. All i could do is smile & say it was pretty i was excited but i didn't know how to express it, but i do remember my mom coming home & saying "yeah Danny kept saying Brittney was so happy, she couldn't stop smiling." It made me giggle. Me, James, Adrian, and Jayden are going to miss you alot. Even though ya'll didn't get a chance to get married yet I still considered you my step dad and you will forever be my kids "Popo." 
 After i found out you had passed, my heart felt heavy, not just for myself but for my kids too. I told Adrian you had to go home with God because he needed you.  The night of your accident i had a dream me, my mom, and Sergio were all looking out a window at a sunset & i looked into the reflection & i saw you & freaked out & just started yelling "Mom Danny's here!!! He's here!!" & She started looking around for you asking "where?" but then i look into the reflection again & you were holding her just smiling looking at me, and then i woke up. I guess that was your way of telling us you were always going to be there even though we may not know you're there. We will forever love you & miss you Danny. Please watch over us. I'll make sure to celebrate our birthday for the both of us!!! Love you.

I was so happy to have finally met you this past August because I knew how in love my long time friend was with you. I loved hearing your "love story" from when y'all were young. I don't know why God called you Home but please save room on your cloud for your sweetheart, Veronica.

Daniel always had a pleasant smile and gentle spirit about him which I enjoyed very much.  The more I hear about him the more I regret that I didn't get to know him better; however, I have been greatly encouraged by the testimonies of his abiding faith in Christ.  Our fellow soldier has fallen but he is with his King who died but is alive forevermore (Rev. 1:18).  May the LORD rain down His mercy and steadfast love upon all those who loved Daniel and miss him.
