Clara went by several names Clara Jean Moore/CJ Moore/Clara Jean/CeeJay and CJ, but Clara was born Clara Jean Wright on March 6,1942, in Chicago Illinois to Andrew Moore Sr and Ella Lee Wright. Clara graduated from Crane High School. Clara was the eldest of six siblings. She worked for the United States Postal Service for over 40 years and loved working there. The postal service employees were her extended family. She had an infectious smile, loved to dance and loved to walk. After Clara retired, she became a volunteer worker with various Health Care facilities in the Chicago area. Later in life, Clara accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord, and a new love grew within her for the Savior. Clara became a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago Illinois where she served in the Biblical Education Ministry.

As her illness became too much for her to live alone, she moved to Texas to be under the care of her son, daughter-in-love and her granddaughters.

To mourn her life, Clara leaves her sons - Donald Lee Watkins Jr of Chicago Illinois, Curtis Watkins (Dolores) of Round Rock Texas; brother - Jerry Moore (Katherine) of Jackson Mississippi; Granddaughters - Tameka LaTara Watkins-Wells of Killeen Texas, and Elyzabeth Nicole Demery of Jarrell Texas; Great Grandchildren - Kendall, Ronald, Jakobi and Jaela; Nieces and Nephews – Tyra (John), Kejuan, Breanna, Arki and Terry (Sharon). Clara was preceded in death by her parents - Andrew Moore Sr and Ella Lee Wright Miller; siblings - Andrew Moore Jr, Terry Moore, Viola Nutall and Mirtee Echols; niece - Latanya (Tammy) Moore; and grandson - William Brandon Demery Vaughn. Clara also leaves behind a host of great nieces, great nephews, friends, and extended family to mourn her life.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on May 29, 2024 at 6:00 pm at One Way Baptist Located at 2107 Hairy Man Rd. officiated by Pastor Samuel L. Buhl, Sr.

An memorial service will be held June 8, 2024, at 10:00 am at St Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 7262 S Coles Ave, Chicago, IL 60649, Pastor Scott Onque'.

She will be laid to final rest in Cedar Park Cemetery, Chicago IL.
