Chris was born on November 8, 1976, to the proud parents Isaac L. and Patricia Taylor Jackson in Dallas, Texas. Mother, Dovie Greene Jackson preceded him in death. Chris grew up in the early years in Dallas where he attended Homeland Missionary Baptist Church. In 1983 the family moved to Austin, Texas. He attended schools in Austin, Texas.
Chris married Jemery Jones in November 2000 and to this union two children were born, Brittney Christina a college graduate and Dorian Christopher a high school senior at Atkins High School. Chris and Jemery decided to divorce in 2013. His children survive him.
Chris is survived by his parents, Isaac L. Jackson and Patricia A. Taylor Jackson; siblings, Tracy Ellis Harrison and Isaac D. Jackson; aunts, Minnie Prince (Dallas), Dr. Dorothy Jackson (Odessa), Henretta Greene Holmes (Jerry) (Ft. Worth), Ethel M. Jackson (Dallas) Patsy Jackson (Dallas), Marilyn Clark (Lexington, KY), uncles, Prentiss Coleman, Reverend Shellie T. Greene (DeSoto, TX), Reverend Robert L. Coleman (Dallas, TX), Cenelle Coleman (Dallas, TX), and Leonard Jackson (Dallas, TX), niece, Brianna Jackson (Round Rock, TX) and nephew, Shamar Harrison (Manor, TX) and a host of cousins and friends.
Chris was also preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Isaac and Ethel Jackson; Maternal Grandparents, Herman M. and Rachel E. Taylor and Shellie and Ruby Greene.
Chris was employed at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality at the time of his passing.
Chris enjoyed his time with Dorian doing outdoors endeavors like fishing and enjoying parks. He liked movies and the current events of the day.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2938 E. 13th Street, Austin. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
