Missing u Pops continue to rest my love!!!

My son, adored Charles. Was a bright spot in his morning + afternoon school routine. We miss him so much.

Your last birthday! You were so happy to receive so much love. I miss you so much. But I know your dancing in heaven. Until we meet again. Always daddy's little girl!

I met Mr Charles briefly when I was visiting my daughter Laura Burnett who lived next door. Our meeting was brief but I was touched by his sweet countenance. A lovely person to know and to have as a neighbor. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. 

I was in Charles’ veterans group. He was a fine individual and he will be missed.

My condolences to Charles’s family. Charles was a good friend and a brother in arms.

I met Charles in a Vietnam Veteran's group at the Vet Center. Another Vietnam brother leaves us. Rest in Peace buddy.

I meet Charles at the  IRS while  detailed on swing shifts  back in the 90' s in the computer room. He  would  help me to stay awake because i was  not use to  late night  shift so he was the one that provided my coffee to keep me  alert .lol    He was a true friend and a big brother . You will  be missed my friend.

Mr. Charles was truly someone that I looked forward to seeing. He was always so kind and cared about all of the kids he came across. He learned all of their names and their siblings name as well. He watched them grow up and he shared his warmth with each one of them. He even remembered the kids who were grown up and came back to Windermere. Not a day went by where kids didn’t wave and shout to him as they were passing by in their cars. I’m thankful and very lucky to know a man like Mr. Charles. My condolences to his family and I hope he is resting easy in paradise.

I have and cherish the fond memories of this brother, in the person of Charles Bowen.  Not only did we share a memorable friendship and of working many years together at the IRS in the Computer Room, but also developed a friendship with our families and mutual friends beyond the work environment. A rare soul he is, always willing to go the extra mile.  Charles will never be forgotten. RIP my Buddy and Brother in Christ.  See you in Heavin where it will always be "howdy" and never "goodbye."

I worked closely with Charles for many of years.  Through the years, we had many long conversations about all kinds of things.  After he retired, he told me he was going to work with children as a crossing guard.  From what others have said, I'm not surprised they loved him to.  He was a kind and thoughtful person.  He always had a good word to say about everyone.  He truly was a nice person and a pleasure to work with.  I will miss him.

Loved Mr. Charles.  I worked with him at Windermere Elem. he was so great with the children.  He loved each and everyone of them and they loved him.  If he couldn't come in to sign his timesheet I would take it out to him and always made sure he had his t-shirt that we would get from the school. Mr. Bowen was a proud father, grandfather, and servant of The Lord.
He was kind, humble, and always had a smile on his face. He carried himself with dignity & respect. I admired him for how he raised his daughters in the church and supported them in school & church activities; as well as his grandchildren.  He was a true man of God & pillar of our community. R.I.P. My fishing buddy ! Had great times in and out of work. My condolences to his family.

This man was a delight to little 10-11 year old me, every morning I would ride my bike to school and he was always on the cross walk to greet me and make sure it was safe. I remember he told me how to keep myself warm when it was really cold out, you will be missed ❤️

What an amazing person and what a remarkable life. I feel so lucky that I got to know Mr. Bowen.  Thank you for protecting our children as they walked to Windermere each and everyday. I am also grateful for your service and sacrifice to serve every American in this country. You have used your life in a way that blesses so many others. Thank you! My family will miss you Mr.Charles you always welcomed me in your home with opening arms when I had Mekhi you welcomed my family into your home forth of July is memory I will forever remember 

When I was about 5/6 yes old, I remember Uncle taking me and my brother Kim (aka Koko) to see Herbie the Lovebug at Christown Mall....with his girlfriend..(🤔??)  Best day ever!! Uncle made sure that my brother and I had as much, popcorn, soda and candy we could eat to keep us busy so we wouldn't "interrupt" his movie I guess he really loved.....Herbie😂🤣😂

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. We only knew each other for a brief period but I feel like you’ve been in my life for years; our condolences to the entire family for your loss.

Charles made our school mornings the most enjoyable! His spirit, smile + huge wave was contagious. He made our kids and the parents feel SO safe. He protected our babies. Charles was so loved! We will miss him so so much. We will continue to pray for all of his family and friends, and we know he is in God's home in peace + happiness. We are so grateful to have known him here on Earth. Sending so much love to all of Charles's family.

First of all my condolence to the family . My family and I have lived in front of Charles for 21 years , He was truly one of the nicest people I have encountered in my life , Always had a kind word .Thank you for all the advice you gave me over the years. You knew how to put a positive spin on a negative situation. My wife will miss your tea cakes that you would bring over when you made a batch. You truly will be missed.

Mr. Charles was our crossing guard and he was always so nice and funny. Mr. Charles offered to help our family during hard times because our family was dealing with a lot. We loved mr. Charles so much he was our biggest part of the morning. We will miss you so much mr. Charles!!! 

Since I was introduced to Mr. Charles M. Bowen, known as Grand, I was heavily influenced by his kindness and love for his Masonic and Eastern Star family. He accepted us with open arms and a warm smile. He will forever remain in our hearts. 

My family and I have lived next door to Charles for the last 5 years and he was an absolutely AMAZING Man and neighbor.  Words can not describe how we feel about him. We will truly miss him and all our little chats. I would often meet up with him for breakfast at Amigos BBQ around the corner and have the best conversations about life and family. He truly loved his family and loved life. He was and always will be an inspiration to me and my 2 daughters. 

I was so very sorry to hear this news. My two boys and I have lived next door to Mr. Charles for the past 12 1/2 years. He was truly one of the nicest people I have ever met. He always stopped to chat when we saw each other in the yard or driveway. I felt such a comfort having him next door.  We will miss him very much. May God bless his family and give them peace.
