Carl Clinton Conway, 95, of Kingsland, Texas went to be with the Lord on Saturday February 18, 2017. Carl was born in Bryan, Texas on November 7, 1921.
He served in the Navy as Pharmacist Mate 1st Class in World War II and was deployed in the South Pacific. He also worked 35 years as a Supervisor in the pipe department for Exxon. He was a Master Mason of the Goose Creek Lodge #1192 and a member of the Baptist church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Smith Conway and mother, Madeleine Bon Conway, brother David Alexander Conway and sister-in-law, Gladys H. Conway, and nephew David Alexander Conway, Jr. Carl is survived by his great-nephew, Chris Conway and wife Amanda Conway and their daughter, Kristin Conway; as well as his adopted daughter, Carla K. Petrash and her family.
There will be a visitation on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
