Antonio L. Rivera, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on June 8, 2017, in Austin, Texas, after a brief battle with Cancer, at the age of 74. Antonio was born in Austin, Texas on June 10, 1942 to Raymundo and Senida Rivera.
Antonio joined his parents along with his brother, his sister, his two youngest sons, Tony and Ronnie Rivera, and his daughter. He is survived by his wife, Mary Rivera, of 57 years. They have one surviving son Ray Rivera and his wife, Isabel Guerra Rivera. Along with six grandchildren: Joshua Crippen, Brian Lopez, Kristopher Rivera, Julian Rivera, Serena Rivera, Adrian Rivera.
Antonio was a loving grandfather, husband, and father figure. He was such a big-hearted figure in the lives of his immediate family that he will so sorely be missed between Rangers baseball, working on his yard, taking care of his family pets, and a little golf in between. He was always surrounded by many loving friends and family. We will persevere through this tough time and keep his memory close in our hearts and as we go on through our everyday lives. Gone, but never forgotten we will embrace his journey into Heaven.
Visitation will be Monday, June 12, 2017, between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. The Mass will start at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Pflugerville, Texas followed by a burial at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville located at 14501 North IH-35 Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
