Amy Marie Falcone

Amy Marie Falcone, 95, of Austin passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023. She was born in Austin to John and Amy Nygard on September 19, 1927. Amy was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her positive attitude was apparent in every aspect of her life.

Amy married the love of her life, Jack Falcone, on September 23, 1943. They were married for 58 years. She enjoyed bowling and helped establish and manage Capitol Bowl where she met Dan and Irene Strait. Dan asked her to work with him in the establishment of Strait Music Company. She became a faithful employee for 45 years until she retired at the age of 85.

Jack and Amy spent much of their free time on Lake Travis. They built a small cabin in 1959 near Hurst Creek. They expanded the cabin and moved their home to the Lakeway area in 1969. She loved entertaining friends and welcomed all to their home. You could always find her working in her yard as she was passionate about gardening. She also had a love for the ‘lake life’, RV camping, travel, and cooking.

Amy was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2002. She is survived by her daughter Karen and husband Thomas Vaughn, son Keith Falcone and wife Tracie, and daughter Kay and husband Jim Wagoner. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Amy was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness and generosity. She was an incredibly special lady who brought joy to anyone fortunate enough to know her.

A visitation for Amy will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas. A funeral service will occur Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas. Following the service will be a committal at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
