Al was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church and Morris Williams Golf Course in Austin. He loved his family, the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. Al’s passion in life was playing golf and being out on the golf course with his family and friends. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Those left behind to cherish Al’s memory include his wife, Ellie Rosales of Austin; daughter, Rene Nicole Rosales of Austin; son, Alexander Rosales of Austin; mother and step-father, Mary G. and Claude Dorman of Whitney; father and step-mother, Felix and Cruz Rosales of Austin; sister, Renee Shipp of Austin; brothers, Marc and wife Christy Shipp of Austin, Sonny Rosales of Round Rock, Ruben and wife Nina Rosales of Austin, and Jesse Rosales of Austin. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Shipp; maternal grandmother, Leta Garza; and maternal grandfather, Santos D. Garza.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012, with rosary and prayer services beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 12041 Bittern Hollow, Austin. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
