It is with heavy hearts and unbelievable sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mark “Adam” Maund on July 10, 2024, at the age of 40 years old. Adam was born on June 8, 1984, at St. David’s Hospital in Austin, Texas to Yvonne Maund and Mark Maund. Adam graduated from Stony Point High School in Round Rock, Texas in 2003 and was a member of the 2007 graduating class of St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas with a B.A. in Political Science and a Master’s in Business Administration.
Adam met the love of his life, Nicole, during their Freshman year at St. Edward’s on their very first day of Marketing class. He caught her eye from across the lecture hall and right then she knew he was going to be one of the most important people in her life. They married in 2009 and he proved her right by becoming the most loving and devoted husband and father. His family was his whole world. He enjoyed gardening, BBQing, and tubing with his kiddos around Lake Travis. He had the biggest personality but an even bigger heart. Adam never ended a phone conversation with family without saying, “I love you.”
Adam is preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Charles Maund, Yvonne and L.V. Staton, and Vivian and Alfred Hees.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nicole; children, Kennedy, Hudson, Everly, and a new blessing due in August; parents, Yvonne Maund, Mark and Patti Maund; sisters Lindsey Upton and Ashley Ulbricht (Charlie); nieces and nephews, Blair, Cash, Codey, Hadley, and Brodie; and many aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family.
Family and friends will gather for a viewing on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. The funeral service will occur on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Evangelical Lutheran, 17701 Cameron Rd, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. The graveside service will immediately follow at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery with a light meal to be served in the Parish Hall thereafter.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Blevins, Coby Hinkle, Chris Monteverde, Chris Nations, James Ockleberry, and Charlie Ulbricht with honorary pallbearers, Kennedy Maund, Hudson Maund, and Allen Knox.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe has been set up to help ease the financial burden on his wife and children. Please open your hearts and consider making a contribution at https://gofund.me/5a59c6c0
