Steve has left a lasting impact on those who were fortunate 
enough as we were to know him
We have so many fond memories of our times together whether 
traveling (what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas) or hangning out -
those cottage days 
Let us not mourn Steve's loss instead celebrate the incredible life 
he lived

My deepest sympathies to the entire Zimmer family. I also grew up on the same street as Steve and worked with him for a few years during high school at Chucks.  I thought of him as the older brother I never had but wished I did.  He was one of the cool and good looking guys but always had time for the kid who liked to walk with him  to school once in a while. He still made time to pop in for lunch over the years when he and Wayne Skinner would be in the 'Burg and it was always a joy to see him.  I will never forget his smile, his twinkling  eyes, his laugh and all the big brother hugs. You will be missed Steve. Rest in peace .

Extending my deepest sympathy to Kathy, Marcia and Nicole as well as their families.  Steve's passing has brought back many memories of dinners and gatherings at the Workman farm.

Kathy and Family, I was saddened to hear of Steve's passing. Grew up in 'The Burg' with the Zimmer family next door. We were all great friends and I remember Steve always the coolest guy on the block, as well as a genuinely nice guy. What memories. He will surely be missed by all.  Mark and Ann Warwick. Kathy and family - I will miss him!  I was first introduced to Steve when I started dating Jack and then became a Parry.  There were these 4 friends who hung out together - Ralph, Steve, Dr. Bruce and Dana.  They let Jack and I into their ‘circle’  and what a fun time it was! I remember Steve’s boat. What a beautiful boat she was. Then came the yellow houseboat. Such stomach hurting laughing fun it was. Just the best. We all married and the fun continued.  Hanging at the farm, at the Bradley’s with Rob, on the Thames River and out on the lake.  Pretty well, as I remember, every weekend. How special to have these wonderful memories.  Kathy, I send my love and to your daughters. Girls, I laughed every time I was around your Dad.  He was warm, caring and interested  in each and everyone of us.

What a sad time for Steve's family, and for all Steve's friends. We first met when we were 5 years old, my first contact after moving to Wallaceburg and my next door neighbour. Our families, our parents, our siblings,  were together ever since then. Zippy was a master of communication, always joking around, always telling stories...real or imagined. He used to laugh and say, 'never let the truth stand in the way of a good story', and that was over half a century ago. 
Losing Steve is incredibly difficult to accept. He suffered so much in his latter years, yet he still managed to carry on with his jovial spirit and his never-ending 'one-liners'.  He will be so missed. I know Steve will rest knowing that he managed to saddle me with that darned bullfighter picture that we secretly exchanged for over 50 years, and he got the last laugh in.
My family, including my 96 year old mother [who was Steve's mother's closest friend] all wish to extend our deepest sympathy to the Zimmer family.
