Shirley Lord

Shirley passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens (Long Term Care home) in Chatham, Ontario on Sunday, September 24, 2023 in her 89th year. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Morris. Loving mom to Steve (Brenda), Rod (Lucy) and Andra (Kevin MacInnis). She was grandma to Aaron, Brent, Craig, Meghan, Rachel, Campbell, and Madison and step-grandmother to Eric and Amy. Cherished sister to Barbara Hill. Shirley was a long time member of St. Giles Church, a gifted public school teacher in Peterborough, but most of all, a devoted and caring mother to our family. She will be sorely missed.

A graveside funeral service will take place at Rosemount Memorial Gardens, 2551 Whittington Drive, Peterborough at 1 pm on Thursday, September 28, 2023. A reception will be held at COMSTOCK-KAYE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough after the service. If you would like to honour Shirley’s memory, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
