Shirley Margaret Orde Fisher

– It is with heavy hearts we announce that our dear sweet Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Royal Gardens after an 8 month journey of cancer in her 85th year.

Shirley was the beloved wife and soul mate for 56 years of the late William “Bill” (2008). Cherished mother of Paul, Doug (Michele), Susanne Mathers and Jane Ulrich (Todd).

Grandma will be sadly missed by Eric (Christy), Amanda (Chris), Andrew and Andrea Harris (John), Jordan and Mary Fisher, Blake and Devon Ulrich. Dear great grandma of Damian. Predeceased by baby grandson Freddie. Shirley is predeceased by her parents Roy and Alma Orde, and stepfather Herb Coombes and brothers Keith, Garry, Robert and Wayne.

Fondly remembered by her dear sister-in-laws Jean Fisher (late Ches) and Dorothy Fisher (late Frank) and predeceased by Eileen and Bram Reed. Aunt Shirley will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank the amazing staff at Royal Gardens for taking extra special care of our mom; all of you have precious gifts of care and compassion. Dr. Karen Lee Eldridge and Dr. John Beamish, there are not enough words to express our gratitude for the extraordinary care you gave our mom. Friends will be received at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, from 2-4 and 7-9 on Sunday, July 13. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the Comstock Chapel. Private Family interment at Little Lake Cemetery. Reception to follow at Royal Gardens, 1160 Clonsilla Avenue.
