Ross James Johnston

February 7, 1929 – December 8, 2024

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Ross James Johnston with his family by his side.

Beloved husband of Mary Johnston (pre-deceased 2023) of Peterborough for 67 years. Devoted Father of Nancy and Mark (pre-deceased) and Father-in-law of David McMurray. Grandpa of Meghan (Corey) and Ali (Brad), and Great Grandpa of Hannah, Emily, Jack and Charlie. Cherished Uncle of Craig (Merissa), Lisa, and Carolyn (Marc).

Pre-deceased by his Parents James and Mildred Johnston and Brother Doug (Reta) of Bailieboro.

Ross will also be missed by extended family and many friends. The family would like to extend their thanks for the kind and compassionate care he received at Coleman Care Center in Barrie.

Family and friends will be received at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge St., Peterborough on Monday, December 16th from 12:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Private family interment at Union Cemetery, Port Hope.

In Ross’s memory, donations to Five Counties Children’s Center, Alzheimer Society, or the Kawartha Food Share would be appreciated by the family.
