It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Towns announce his passing on December 17, 2022. He died quietly at home in his 78th year.
He grew up in Douro. Peter was a great guy, soft-spoken and fun. He studied Landscape Architecture at the University of Guelph, graduating in 1968. He is pre-deceased by his parents Francis and Mary Towns. He will be sadly missed by his sisters and brother: Ellen Hay, Marian Darling, Catherine Vollering (Deceased), Margaret Shilton, Joanne Garvey and Frank Towns. He will be fondly remembered by his 15 nieces and nephews; and by his many cousins. A Funeral Mass will be held on January 7, 2022 at 11am at St. Joseph’s Church, 300 County Road 8, Douro. Friends will be received from 10 am to 11 am prior to the Mass.
