KAYSER, Olga Jessie “Ollie” - Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Ukranian Christmas, Tuesday, January 7th, 2014 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Kayser (2005). Dear mother of Robert Kayser (Julie), David Kayser (Robin) and Peter Kayser. Loving Nana Ollie of Robert Jr., Jeffrey, Riley (Amy) and Simon (Amy). Dear sister of Stan Devanuik, Joan Wilson and Rose Piush, all of Winnipeg. Mom was born in Winnipeg and was convinced to move to Peterborough in 1959 with her soulmate, Bob, in quest of bringing up a family, assisting wherever needed whether it was Ye old Barn Restaurant (Bancroft), Kayser’s Restaurant, or the Accounting firm that Dad and Uncle Fred worked at for over 50 years. Her Ukranian heritage didn’t go unnoticed as she was known to cook Perogies to perfection and discussed several other dishes up to and including her last days at PRHC . She enjoyed and supported all childrens’ and Grandchildrens’ activitiies which included music, hockey, lacrosse, swimming and University (Grandchildren only!) which wasn’t a part of Moms upbringing. Growing up in the depression with a large family left them all to struggle with bare necessities, but strong morals such as Love and Respect have kept her close family together and reminded us when needed to be appreciative of what we have today. Mom is reunited with Dad and will able to catch up on euchre, music and laughter with their friends in Florida and finally be together again! The Kaysers would like to thank the Team at PRHC and her favourite, Dr Richards. The family will have a private service with a celebration of Mom’s life to follow at a later date. If desired, donations to the PRHC would be appreciated instead of flowers.
Arrangements entrusted to KAYE FUNERAL HOME ‘MEMORIAL CHAPEL’, 539 George Street North. Online condolences may be expressed at www.kayefuneralhome.com
