Mary Kathleen Gillespie

February 26, 1913-January 30, 2011

Mary passed away at Bloomington Cove Specialty Care Centre, Stouffville in her 98th year. Beloved wife of George Grant Gillespie (predeceased) for 40 years. Much loved mother of daughters Barbara (predeceased), (Dale Stirling) and Elizabeth (Lee Walker) and son Don (Kathleen Ault). Adoring grandmother to Kathryn Stretch (nee Stirling), Kimberley Stirling, Andrew and Erin Walker, Alexander and Carolyn Gillespie. Beloved sister of Dorothy Isobel “Betty”. Predeceased by brothers Donald and Robert and sister Barbara “Peggy”. A loving and caring full-time mother and homemaker to her family. Mary spent over 40 years actively involved in St. Andrews United Church and their United Church Women. Mary enjoyed her years singing with the Jubilaires choir. The family is most appreciative of the care and concern shown by the staff of Bloomington Cove during her years of residence there. The family will receive friends at Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Saturday February 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 10:30a.m. Interment to follow at Little Lake Cemetery.
