Kevin tragically passed away on July 10, 2024 at the age of 51. Kevin grew up in Douro, attended Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School, and received his Honours in English Literature and Teaching degrees from Trent and Queen’s. He was a passionate and inspiring teacher who worked for the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board for 27 years, the last 17 of these at Adam Scott CVI.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lesley (nee Patterson), his sons Aiden and Coen, and his stepchildren Liam (Harper Spring) and Maeve Hartnett. He also leaves his parents Royden and Hazel Robinson (nee Hughes), his sisters Cindy Marshall (Andy) and Cheryl Robinson (Brad Tucker), brother-in-law Keith Patterson, and mother-in-law Sheri Patterson. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Ryan, Megan, Lizzy, Emily, Julian, and Zach, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Kevin was incredibly witty and intelligent, had a passion for literature and film, and enjoyed annual trips to TIFF. He also loved watching hockey and spent many winters at the rink as a goalie dad. Last fall, he was blessed with the experience of coaching Adam Scott junior boys football and supporting Aiden and Coen on the field.
Kevin loved simple pleasures such as bike rides in the sunshine, the Saturday morning paper, Pralines and Cream ice cream, Predators trips to Nashville, Blue Jays games, cottage getaways with cousins Warren and Leanne Robinson, barbecuing, and summers by the pool.
He will be greatly missed by all of us. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough.
