McGRATH: James Francis; Beloved husband of the late Margaret Purvis (d.1999). Loving father of Sharon McGrath of Toronto, Colleen Ryan and her husband Tony of Peterborough, Lieutenant Colonel Jim McGrath and his wife Debbie of Kanata, David McGrath and Rochelle Daiber of Burlington and Tim McGrath of Toronto. Devoted grandfather (Gramps) of Samantha (and her husband Dan), Stephen, Joshua, Rachel, Craig, Katie, Ian and Autumn. Dear brother of Gerald McGrath and his wife Marcia, MaryAnn Wilson and her husband Ron, and the late Jack McGrath and brother-in-law of Rita Rosehart (Bob) and the late Bill Purvis (Betty). Son of the late Major (R) James P. McGrath and Laura Alice Driscoll. In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and his immediate family will be attending a scheduled Sunday Mass in his memory at Immaculate Conception Church. Thanks to Dr. P. Kilmartin, Dr. K. Mohindra, Dr. D. Spaner (Sunnybrook Hospital), Dr. D. Enapekides (Sunnybrook Hospital), and Dr. G. Swain for the care and compassion shown to Jim during his illness. In a special way, to Jim’s loving daughter Colleen, for her unwavering care with humour and devotion during his battle with leukemia.
