Loving and beloved Mother of Brenda Byrom (Colin), Whitby; Bonnie Macdonald (David), Gilmore; Beverly McQuade (Stephan), Omemee; William (Bill) Shaw (Catherine), Cavan; Darlene McBride (Larry), Cavan; Diana Comrie (Rick), Cambridge; Denise Pritchard (Blair), Paris, ON; Bernard (Bernie) Shaw (Susanne), Russell, ON. Grandmother of 18 plus 6 acquired grandchildren, Great Grandmother of 9, plus 13 acquired great grandchildren. Sister of John Bannan (Irene), Buckhorn; Greta Bannan, Owen Sound; James Bannan (Ann), Omemee; Wanda Bannan, Lindsay. Predeceased by Thelma (Sammy) Barley, Omemee; Warren Bannan, St. Paul, AB. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Esther was a charter member of Donwood United Church, longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and longtime member of East Peterborough Lions Club. Members of the following organizations are invited to attend the following memorial services on Thursday, July 18th at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street: 7:30 p.m.- Peterborough Chapter #161 Order of the Eastern Star and 8:00 p.m.- East Peterborough Lions Club. Public visitation will be held on Friday, July 19th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street. A funeral service will be held at Donwood United Church on Saturday, July 20th at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to Donwood United Church or a charity of your choice. Thank You from Esther: To all the family who took care to see that I had everything needed to remain at home until I was admitted to Palliative Care and to my many visitors.
