Dorothy June Johnston

Peacefully, at Springdale Country Manor, on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Howard Johnston and the late John Clark Murray. Loving mother of William Murray (Heather), and Linda Wood (Wayne). Proud grandmother of Julia Wheeler (Chuck) and Lesleigh Vinnai (Ben Minutillo). Adoring great grandma “Gi Gi” of Jacob, Izsak, Marissa and Jared. Fondly remembered by her step-children Marlene Haslett (late Jim) and Wayne White (Marilyn) and their families. Survived by her sister Jean Young (late Cecil) and sisters-in-law Lola Larmour, Carol Goulay (late Tom) and Lee Murray (late Doug). Predeceased by her sisters Grace, Mabel, Elsie, Viola, Vera, Anne and brothers James, Howard and Robert. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A former worker at Canadian General Electric, June was a founding member of the ladies Auxiliary of RCAF 428 Wing, as well as a longtime member of the Northminster United Church UCW. The family will receive friends at COMSTOCK-KAYE Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. -1:45 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Little Lake Cemetery.
