I miss Dave. Such an engaged man. My partner was Dave’s long-term accountant and I saw a lot of Dave coming and going from the office. He was not a sign-the -form and go away client. He would need to know how it all worked and why. 
We long shared a love of local history which he acknowledged with many ongoing generous contributions of time and money. I still remember well  his “rants” from time  spent on the Peterborough museum management board many years ago. When he saw me poking around archives here in town, he insisted that he take me out to Lang for an introduction to their collections and the great ladies who manage it. He’d come up to the library where I was working there and say “what have you got today?” He wanted to, needed to, know. And was never shy about sharing his own knowledge and opinions. My sincere sympathy to you & your family. Dave & my husband Jack were longtime members of the Homebuilders Association & just before his death (March24,21) he was looking through a folder about his many accomplishments. He always spoke very highly of him. They are both missed.

  I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. When I joined the M.B.C.C., he was one of the first to welcome me. Both he and Helen were a pleasure to talk to. I listened to David's insights.
  A number of years ago he called me up. He let me know that he had  some spare parts from his 1955 Buick and would I like to have them. So I went out to their residence to see what he had, picked up a number of small parts. We also had a visit and a light lunch together. It was very pleasurable.
   Again my heartfelt condolences to all the family.

Very sorry to hear about the recent passing of your father.  I know it was his wish to to stay in his home and it was great that your parents got to stay together for so many years.  I know that leaves your mother and yourselves with new challenges ahead, especially during these trying times.  Please know that we are thinking of you.

I first met Dave in 2003 as a new member of the club we belonged to.  I do have many fond memories of our many chats.  He was a very enthusiastic member and I learned a lot from him.

He certainly will be missed.

Dearest Enid and family, I'm so very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was a truly beautiful soul. He always had a kind word to uplift a sad spirit, or he would make you laugh by telling his great life stories. He would always bring me plums from your plum tree that his father had brought over from Bulgaria. He never forgot a birthday. I will miss him terribly. Sending all my love to you Enid, and your family. Dave, I love you. We will meet again, over the rainbow <3
